Deuces and Joker Poker - Learn how to play

Deuces & Joker Poker is a form of video poker, introduced in the mid 1970’s; video poker is now one of the most popular online gambling formats. Deuces & Joker Poker combines Joker Poker with Deuces Wild, and is played with 53 cards, the standard deck plus one joker. All four cards with a value of 2 (the Deuces) and the joker are designated wild cards, and can be used in lieu of a card of any face value to make a winning combination. The fact that the game is played with 5 wild cards makes the probability of a winning hand that much higher therefore the payout table generally requires 3 of a kind or better to constitute a winning hand.

The Deuces & Joker Poker player chooses to bet from one to five coins and receives five cards dealt face up. The player must then evaluate their hand and determine which, if any, cards to discard. Once chosen, the computer will allocate the same number of replacement cards and determines the best value of the hand, including the joker if applicable, and pays out according to the result. Note that in video poker the player is attempting to get a winning hand as defined by the Payout table for the game provider, they are not playing against anyone else.
